At the edge of a quiet forest lived a little fox named Lili. She had a fluffy tail, soft paws, and a den lined with leaves that smelled like honey and evening rain.

One evening, just as the stars were lighting their little lamps, Lili heard a tiny sniffle.

"Who is crying?" she asked gently.

Under a fern sat Toby the rabbit. "I lost my blue pillow. I cannot fall asleep without it."

Lili thought for a moment. "Then we will find it. But very quietly, so the forest does not get frightened."

They walked past the spruce tree where an owl was dozing. They walked past the stump where beetles were polishing their lanterns. At last they reached the moonlit stream. And there, on a smooth stone, lay the blue pillow, looking up at the stars.

"Perhaps it wanted to see the moon too," Lili smiled.

Toby hugged the pillow close. "Thank you."

Lili walked him home. When Toby fell asleep, she covered him with a leaf like a tiny blanket.

Then she curled up in her own den. The forest whispered good night, the stream sang softly, and the moon kept watch so no pillow would wander too far again.
